Why do you smell like a banana?
It’s dead quiet in my apartment. Mary has been asleep for an hour or so. Cleo just hopped up on me and she smells like a banana. I said “Why do you smell like a banana? Where did you even find a banana?” in my normal tone. I just realized that Mary probably thinks I’m out here talking to myself about bananas.

Every morning I let Mags out of his cage when I wake up to feed Cleo. Cleo likes to wake me up by meowing and purring while throwing her body weight into my face. Sometimes she’ll lay across my face. Holiday Pet Gift Exchange

Carpet Cleaning?
I’m having my carpets cleaned tomorrow and I am SO EXCITED! I wish I could take the day off of work so I could roll around on my cleaned carpet all afternoon.
Do I need to vacuum before they come to clean my carpet tomorrow? Should I move my furniture or will they? I have some nice antique pieces so I’m thinking I should move those myself.

Safety is a top concern
Whenever I’m home I usually just yell “COME IN” when someone knocks. I feel really safe in my neighborhood. I just yelled “come in!” to someone knocking on the door. It was my neighbor who looked all scared sticking his head through the open door.

The vet who saw Cleo today has a cat with lymphoma so for our entire visit she was on the verge of tears.
